Diet Paratha is proud to partner with Johnnie Walker on a new round of Family Tree Mentoring to help empower the next generation of South Asian talent in creative industries. To launch the initiative, Diet Paratha worked with filmmaker Kajal to create a short film celebrating Simone Ashley’s barrier breaking journey.
Simone's success stands out, amidst historically low creative representation of the British South Asian community in mainstream culture in the UK
The film exists in the unshakably bold Johnnie Walker universe, defying traditional whisky stereotypes and providing a platform to the changemakers who are inspiring progress.
Diet Paratha and Johnnie Walker are giving one individual the chance to create a limited-edition Johnnie Walker Black Label bottle design and be mentored by an industry leading creative as part of the Family Tree Mentoring Programme
The winner will also receive £5,000 to put towards their creative practice and see their design brought to life later this year. Johnnie Walker will continue to support the Diet Paratha Family Tree Mentoring programme with mentorship for five more individuals throughout 2023.
